The Things We Miss #4: Crowded Restaurants in Pasadena

Every day this week I'm going into my files to post photos of things I can't wait to see and do again when the pandemic finally ends.  I promise I'll never get irritated waiting for a coffee refill again.  (See the entire series here.)

The Things We Miss #3: Live Improv Comedy in Hollywood

I continue a deep dive into my archives!  This week I'm posting images of the things I can't wait to do again when the pandemic finally ends.  Join me in gazing both wistfully at the past and hopefully toward the future. (See the whole series here.)

The Things We Miss #2: The Fourth of July Parade in South Pasadena

Every day this week I'm going back to my archives to post a shot of something I've missed during the last 13 months of pandemic isolation.  We're almost out of this thing, people.  Let's be optimistic about the future. (Click here for the series.)

The Things We Miss #1: Street Dancing in Santa Monica

As we all look eagerly toward the future, I thought I'd go through my archives and post some of my favorite photographs of our former life.  Who knew the ordinary would become so extraordinarily missed?

Longtime visitors to this blog are familiar with this one.  I've used it in posters and promotions and I've posted it several times because it sums up a dizzying, free spirited, madcap joy that is so much a part of living in Los Angeles.  I can hear the salsa music.  I can taste the margaritas.  I can't wait until we can all do it again.

Stay tuned for more of my favorite shots.  I've been sidelined for over a year and I'm nostalgic... but hopeful.  (Click here for the series.)

Saving at Least One of Nine Lives...

#WearAMask

Be sure to check out my March photography documentary film pick!  I curate monthly films for shutterbugs, embedded to watch free right here.  I've spent a lot of time studying the work of other photographers at home over lockdown in the last year.  I've seen some great films, and I want to share.

Magic in the Garden

My garden hose is a portal.  😳

(For a great photography video, my March photography film choice up!  Sadly, no zero gravity there, though.)
